Inspired by Ireland’s outstanding performances at EGMO and IMO earlier this year, the IMT has been doing some fundraising so that we can build on those achievements and lay the foundations for future success.
Stripe, founded by the Irish Collison brothers and with new headquarters in Dublin, are our new Principal Partner and main sponsor of the Irish Maths Olympiad. Their multi-year funding commitment, together with the wonderful work of volunteers around the country, is enabling institutions to open new Junior Maths Enrichment centres in Letterkenny, Sligo, Galway, Thurles, Maynooth, Tralee, Waterford and hopefully more! Their support is both financial and logistical and signals the beginning of a long-term relationship that will make Ireland a better place for maths-loving kids.
Alongside Stripe, other organisations, companies and individuals are supporting the work of the Irish Maths Trust. Global quantitative trading firm Susquehanna maintain their annual sponsorship. Venture capital firm Nebular (founder Finn Murphy) has made a notable donation, as have individuals Mark Cummins, Luke Byrne and Emma Waldron Chen. Many more have contributed generously via our donate page. Further sponsors are due to appear in the coming weeks.
A special thank you is due to Sam Enright for getting the ball rolling through his advocacy and his admirable network. His massive investment of time and personal capital merits a prize!
The support from all concerned has been incredibly heart-warming, and motivating in its recognition of the importance of our work developing the next generation of young mathematicians.
