The Irish Mathematical Trust was delighted to participate in the very successful MathsFest 2017. While manning the stand, we got to see many interesting talks, ranging from how to assess student proficiency in mathematics to tips for the well-being of teachers. We were of course delighted to have many teachers show an interest in our events, such as Maths Circles, the Mathematics Enrichment and Mathematical Olympiads (we even had a few medals to show off). There was also significant interest in the new award for Irish Teachers of Mathematics. We would like to congratulate the organisers for a perfect event (including the scones they gave us in the break).
